When we lived in Ohio, we DIY’d a lot of upgrades to our house. We painted rooms, built garden beds, installed concrete countertops… and even attempted some very ambitious brickwork on our front steps.
I say attempted because about halfway through, we realized the project was out of our scope, outside our skill set, and we were completely out of time.
So we did the smartest thing we could do—we called in an expert.
I see the same thing happen with travel planning all the time.
Sometimes people start DIY’ing a trip because they didn’t know I existed (or forgot that I’m a travel professional). Other times, they genuinely think they can handle it… until there are 27 tabs open, too many unanswered questions, and wildly conflicting reviews sending them in circles.
At some point, overwhelm sets in.
Just like that professional bricklayer who swooped in and saved our front steps—and who we still talk about when we drive past our old house (“I love those brick steps and I’m so glad we asked for help”)—this is where I come in.
I can step in and save the day… and the trip, which is usually far more expensive than a front porch.
I call it Step-In Assistance.
If you’ve started planning a trip with Google, Expedia, and AI and now it feels messy or overwhelming, you can hire me to step in, review what you’ve already put together, tell you what’s working, what’s not, and help you finish strong.
Sometimes I take over the planning from there.
Sometimes you finish it yourself.
Either way, you walk away with clarity, confidence, and a plan that actually makes sense.
There’s no shame in reaching out
